Draft sample at the brewery. Pours a dark brown color with a light tan head. Nose of chocolate. Medium plus bod shows the oatmeal. Flavor is roasted malts and a lot of chocolate. Finishes bitter. Quite nice.

RBSG 2016. On tap at the brewery. Very dark brown, aroma of dark fruits and meaty smoke. The palate presents dark malts, prunes, mild smoke. A touch over carbonated. Wasn’t expecting the smoke!

Black with some reddish edges. chocolate chip cookies, porridge, coffee bean aroma. gentle marshmallow smoothie carbonation, very dry overly burnt coffee bean flavors, bitterness from the beans lingers. oatmeal added a lot of depth but the coffee took it away.

Draft to taster at East End. Pours a dark cola brown color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have light roasted, toasted malts, chocolate, oatmeal sweetness, dark chocolate, mild plus bitterness, decent.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is roast, dark chocolate, smoke. Medium body, smoke, cocoa, bitter roast finish, good.

Dark brown with a tan head that dissipates quickly. Faint aroma of toasted malt. Roasted/toasted malt flavors on the palate, balance seems just a little bit off. Still pretty good overall.

Draft at the brewery. Pours black with thick tan head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, coffee and some pine. Creamy mouthfeel with decent bitterness from roast malt and hops.

Courtesy Nate from growler. Pours black with brown head. Chocolate nose, roast and just a touch of dark fruit. Lots of roast, mild milk quality, sweet chocolate, some fruit. Pretty solid.
