COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We checked the gift registry, and appliances are appropriate for our Fourth Anniversary. This beer is an Imperial version of our Black Strap Stout, this time brewed with MORE blackstrap molasses and MORE brown sugar, plus a whole lot more malt and hops too. Part of our FESTIVAL OF DARKNESS and certainly the thickest, darkest, most viscous beer we’ve ever brewed. We’ll brew it again just as soon as we have another 4th Anniversary. Or hey, maybe on the 5th anniversary of our 4th anniversary.

Brewed for East End’s 4th and 9th anniversaries.

On tap at Capone’s. Pours a murky black color with caramel colored head. Great look. Aroma of roast, chocolate, caramel, and some licorice. Roasty caramel, chocolate taste with a nice roughness to it. Rugged and flavorful. Really enjoyed.

Damico (2684) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 29, 2014
Pours thick dark black oil in color with a dark beige cinnamon colored head. The aroma is huge roasted sweet bitter chocolate and even more molasses and black licorice, so smooth and balanced in the nose. Flavor is huge notes of rich roasted black licorice malts and nice minimum smokey notes. Body is robust and awesome!

Dark black, cigar city esque head, coffee dark and lasting. Heavy roast nose, chocolate and cake bitterness. Medicinal booze front, anise and chocolate mid, very dry and cake-like through. Heavy and full, low sweetness and incredible balance and texture.
