Commercial Description:
The earliest documented evidence of the East End Brewing’s East End Witte dates all the way back to November of 2004, much like the brewery itself. Classically styled, this Belgian “white beer” is layered with week upon week of long standing brewing tradition, history, experience, and craftsmanship - brought to you, fresh from the brewery by the brewer himself. (No, he’s not your server, but he was definitely in here recently with a keg.) Taste the new tradition for yourself.

On tap at the Bocktown, such a great place! Smells like the lemon scented fruit erasers we used to get in art class! Hints of sourness and lemon grass are also in the aroma, very interesting. Gorgeous hazy wheat or wit appearance, the only thing missing is the muck on the bottom of the bottle, but this is a tap! Spicey mild initial flavor, very friendly, I really like the attitude of this brew. A great example of a wit and this is brewed right in my own back yard, forget about Europe! Gentleman mannerisms, very good tingly carbonation on the back of my throat but not excessive. Refreshingly good beer. That sour smell just keeps kicking on thru the session. I think I can now also detect some grassy of haylike smells in there to! Very enjoyable and fun complexities with an evolution of flavors. I better get a growler of this stuff. Finish is pleasant and easy to like. If you enjoy wit beer you better seek this out. Great overall tasting experience, I think I’ll have another!

On tap at Bocktown. Pour was a slightly hazy orange with a thick head. Aroma of yeast. Taste was a little watery with hints of yeast and wheat-no citrus or lemon.

Growler from East End. Hazy corn gold, white head. Aroma is meaty, musty, citrusy. Flavor is sweet wheat, chamomile, tangerine. Perhaps a little too sweet for me, but I would definitely recommend this to women who usually don’t like beer.

it was great before, but its even BETTER now that he improved the recipe! it has a delicate, almost sweet flavor, but it also has a bit of spiciness to it that rounds it out and makes it delicious.

Probably the best Witbier I’ve ever had. He tweaked the recipe recently adding a bit of coriander that gives a nice zing to the taste.

Not my usual thing, but being a big fan of East End, I had to give it a try, and I was very surprised. Definite lemon tastes, and a very flavorful & crisp tasting beer - great for a summer day.

A very tasty beer!! Almost every batch I ve tasted has been outstanding. Hits of lemon are everywhere, while there is a slight taste of orange.

Poured from a growler. Poured very light yellow. Very light brew, rather bland with some lemony notes and corriander. This could have a nice mass appeal for their brewery, but does not have too much to it....retasted on tap, and it was much better, much more lemony notes
