Cask at Angel, Islington as ’ELB Cowcatcher’. Pale yellow, clear, still, small bubbly white head. Aroma is leafy hops, grassy, some lemon. Body is medium, smooth, low carbonation. Taste is buttery, lemon ’n’ lime. Finishes with a grassy, twiggy bitterness. Pretty decent. Would have no qualms about doing a pint, but it doesn’t stand out.

Sampled on draught at the Mossy Well, Muswell Hill. Light Amber colour, with a thin head. Typical American Pale Ale characteristics with plenty of orange and lemon flavours, but not too astringent. Good hoppiness. A well-made and characterful beer.
