Bottle from Oddbins London Bridge. I’ve just heard the phrase "my father would have killed for a rectum of a horse." which puts everything into context doesn’t it? Dark brown beer with a lasting thick dark beige head. This is a very good best bitter. Brilliant malts, great peppery hop on the end. This is really good. A very good best bitter.

Cask @ The Cock Tavern. Light brown with a tiny off-white head. The nose is really nutty, ripe cherry, brown sugar and brown bread. The taste is jammy cherry compote, strawberry, toffee, hefty malt presence. Quite flavorful, lightly dry finish. Smooth and quite drinkable. Soft. Overall, quite nice, well-balanced.
