Cask and bottle regular;
Our newest beer is a darker, warmer, smoother mouthfeel beer than the other two. It has a red tinge to the colour and is relatively well hopped.

Bottle from Oddbins London Bridge. I’ve just heard the phrase "my father would have killed for a rectum of a horse." which puts everything into context doesn’t it? Dark brown beer with a lasting thick dark beige head. This is a very good best bitter. Brilliant malts, great peppery hop on the end. This is really good. A very good best bitter.

Bottle. Smells of wood and chestnut. Mahogany brown colour. Nice best bitter in the proper style. Rounded flavours of wood. Nice.

500ml bottle bought at Kjeller 5 and shared with Finn Arvid at his place. Rocky beige head that stayed for a while over a close to clear mahogany coloured body. Fair lacing. Roasted malty aroma with fruity hints. Rich taste profile of nuts and dark caramel nicely blended with roasted malty bitterness to a rather long-lived ending. Medium bodied. Brit bitter at its best (Tromsø 28.01.2016).

Dark brown colour. Really strong aroma and flavour of toasty malts. Really full flavoured and a perfect session bitter.

Look; light fawn top on copper ruby clear body. Nice lacing layer. Aroma; dusty malts surrounded by leafy hops. Taste; dark malts, hops, roasted malts, lighter grapefruits, leaves - finishes hoppy malty, balanced. Feels good, subdued carbonation, normal body. Overall good brew! Flaske 500ml fra Kjeller 5. Mørk gyldenbrun. Mye kullsyre på glasset. Middels høyt luftig skum med litt farge. Litt lacing. Lett maltaroma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken balansert. Fine nyanser av malt. Blir passe tørr etter hvert og gir mersmak. Veldig "engelsk".

Bottle from Det Gode Brygg. Pours clear deep ruby with a big creamy beige head. Good malty aroma, dark caramel and raisins. Taste is moderate sweet with a weak roasty note and some good dry hops at the end. Good smooth mouthfeel, almost as a weak porter for me.

Bottle 500 ml. Deep amber, brown with a red tint. Thin white head with almost no lacing. Aroma of caramelised sugar and spice. Bitter and hoppy taste and, right before the finish, a taste of pure snow (strange association, I know, and this is the only beer I’ve had tonight...). Lot of hops in the finish.

September 12, 2014 - at Southampton Arms; on handpull. Incredibly bright and clear deep reddish copper with a decent lasting mottled beige frothy head. Smells like a somewhat more florally bitter bitter - simple, sort of sweet - taste follows - not too twiggy, reasonably balanced, not too sweet - not particularly memorable either; refreshing ... light, airy, light carbonation, quick finish - refreshing enough; clean.

Bottle at Temple Brewhouse London. Clear amber beer with a decent beige head. Fruity malty aroma, citrus, grapes, grassy notes. Fruity malty flavor, caramel, grassy notes, some hay. Quite ok.

Cask at the Bell, Waltham St Lawrence. Bright chestnut with a thin cream head; sweet, honeyed, buttery aroma; smooth in the mouth with a rich oily texture, sweet richly roasted malts, and some chocolate and nuts, combined with a light spicy bitterness; leading to a long satisfying finish. A rather good ESB style beer.
