Cask@Pigs Ear Beer Festival 2011. Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is bitter wood, caramel, some malty notes as well as mild nuttyness. Flavour is being quite much the same in a nice balance. Wooden and nutty in the finish.

Cask (handpump) at Pigs Ear Beer Festival (Day 1) on 6 December 2011. Light amber colour. Much more vibrant than the norm so far at this festival. Dry and fairly citric. Quite zesty hops and zingy mouthfeel. Seemed to inherit more from its pale ancestry than its dark.
