500ml bottle from Oddbins London Bridge. Black beer with lasting tan head. Lots of coffee on this. Quite a tasty stout. Last beer of a Friday evening tasting and certainly a good finishing beer. Full in mouth but not alcoholic. Decent coffee stout.

Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm. Dark brown. Rich aroma of chocolate and caramel. Sweet with medium body and well rounded mouthfeel. Chocolate, caramel and molasses. Mid bitter finish. Quite harmonious, but gets a bit syrupy.

Bottle from Mam and Dad’s holiday, London. Inky black with a quickly disappearing tan head. It has a sweet liquorice and chocolate flavour followed by a currant, red fruity and slight bitter finish. Very Good!

500ml Bottle from Coppers, Gosforth, £3.19/pint. Pours near black with a very thin, tan head. The nose has sweet grainy notes and light smoke. The flavour takes the smokiness up a notch, like well-fried bacon mixed with nut. The flavour complexity continues into a yeasty finish with tart, cherry bitterness presenting itself increasingly as the beer goes down, as well as creamy chocolate notes. A good, complex stout.

Nothing remarkable about this stout, but at the same time, not unpleasant either. Very nice dark colour, good aroma. Very drinkable for a stout.

September 16, 2014 - at The Gunmakers; handpull. Ruby-black with a decent creamy/foamy tan head (4-). Mild aroma - mild roast with light tart fruit - meh. Love that taste - roast, plum and prune, some floral bitterness - airy, light, quick-finishing - very nice mild; sorry, stout.

Cask-conditioned at the Wenlock Arms, 21/8/2015. Near black with a lacy, beige, head. Milk chocolate, toasted malts, a touch of berry fruit sweetness and creamy porridge oats before a warming finish. Good.
