3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Copenhagen Beerfestival. It’s a hazy, orange-brown beer with a small off-white head leaving lacings. Alcohol, some caramel, sweetness, dried fruits and lemony hops on the nose. The flavor is sweet and fruity, almost syrupy, with some resiny, citrusy hops giving a nice bitternesss. Warming, full-bodied mouthfeel, yet it’s a bit watery. Sweet, bitter finish. A decent beer, but a bit thinnish, and quite far from my favorite Barley Wine. (090515)

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap @ Ølfestival, Valby, 2009.
Pours muddy (though a little more clear than the 2007) amber. A nice, creamy, staying, yellowish head. Rather mild aroma. Light hops, caramel and some viniousness. Good, creamy mouthfeel. Dry flavour, quite hoppy, very malty sweet. Just gets a bit too sticky for me, but it’s still fairly drinkable.
