Clear dark brown color with a small to average, fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, berry sweet, chemistry, sugar. Flavor is moderate cherries sugar sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090515]

Draft. A hazy deep red beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of malt as well as lighter notes of wood and vinegar. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel, leading to a dry wooody finish.

On tap at Copenhagen Beerfestival. It’s a clear, copper-colored beer with a small off-white head. A hint of sourness in the first sniff, then alcohol, meaty maltyness and some caramel appeares. A little dried fruits as well. Sweet flavor with caramel, some spicy hints, dried fruits and some hops giving a little bitterness. Full-bodied and almost sticky sweet. Sweetish finish with dried fruits. A decent beer, but rather ordinary. (090515)

CBF 2009: Typical belgian double. Medium brown coloured and clear. Has a light brown head, mostly lasting. Aroma is roasted, caramel. Flavor starts moderate sweet and finish moderate bitter. Creamy texture and lively carbonation.

Cloudy ruby brown with a small off-white head. Sweet and fruity aroma ith caramel notes. Sugary sweet flavour with raisin and other fruit notes.

On tap at Copenhagen Beer Festival 09. Filmy head, cloudy dark brown body. Slightly roasted malts with fruity hints in aroma. Sweet malt married with hoppy fruits in the flavour supported by a dash of berries. Underlying yeast in the aftertaste. Not more than halfway pleasing (15.05.2009).

Brown with a small head. Aroma heavy malty (caramel, light vineous), light hoppy. Flavor heavy sweet, light bitter/acidic. Medium to full body. Very fine.

Bottle at KØ09. Vinous aroma, slightly sour. Nice dark chestnut colour. Sweet yeast flavour. Some quinine-like bitterness, slightly unpleasant. Too sweet, and not good.

From tap. Pours dark brown with a small dense head. Light flemish fruity aroma. Sweet malt flavoured, distinct fruity note and light yeasty too. Fruity and slight metallic into a smooth and light sweet finish.
