COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottled. Hazy amber coloured with some nasty black chunks in it. Aroma of exotic fruits and some yeast. Fruity flavour with notes of hops, malts and yeast. Slightly dry and sharp yeast finish. Sharp and high carbonation. Light to medium bodied. Decent, but seems too homebrewed.

Little off-white head; dark amber beer. Fruity, yeasty, very estery and a bit of holly leaf aroma. English hops to the fore in the taste, and very fresh, nearly green hops, as a "green-hopped" cask ale, but with a very sweet maltsugar-finish. Fruity finish as well. Warming up, some liquorice. Medium bodied, well-carbonated despite a loss of pressure of the bottle(-s, which are horribly badly corked). I’ve probably never tasted a bottled beer that came closer to a freshly drawn British cask ale. For a beginning brewery, an outstanding achievement! Thanks to Dirk!

Dark red-brown colored with cloudy appearance. Little light brown head. Grainy aroma with chocolate, yeast and caramel, some rubber also present. Medium bodied. Flavor is more hopped with still caramel and chocolate, carbonated palate. Some rubber in drying aftertaste. Not too close to ESB, still drinkable one.

Svesse (4392) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - AUG 3, 2008
(Draught at Ölbaren, Copenhagen, 24 July 2008) Dark amber colour, slightly hazy, with a frothy, beige head. Malty nose with notes of chocolate, toffee and ... banana. Malty taste with chocolate, toffee, dried fruit, over ripe banana and a spicy finish. Kind of weird for an ESB, but quite drinkable. But one might ask: Why is there banana in my ESB?

draft ølbaren cph. great aroma strong. hops, alc, vanilla, sweet. strange.. looks real nice, giant head and dark red/brown beer underneath, flavor is not as aroma hinted. dark fruits, toffee, sugar, sweetness. and a bit watery. okay beer, but somewhat too sweet for my personal taste.

Bottle. High creamy and long lasting off-white head. Hazy orange red body. Fruity hoppy and spicy aroma. Pretty hoppy flavor, dry and alcohol notes as well. Low carbonation. Long dry and bitter aftertaste. My impression is that the brewers have not known exactly what they wanted with this beer. It is a mixture of too much and not especially well balanced.
