(Draught) Pours dark brown to black. The aroma is coffee roasted with American hop notes of grapefruit and resin. The flavour holds liquorice and coffee roast alongside salt-ish grapefruity hops. The mouthfeel is round and oily. Medium to full bodied.

Draught at EBF 2008, Copenhagen, Denmark. Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, licorice, peat notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. 120908

(On tap) Black and opaque with a light brown head. Aroma of hard roasted malt and horse manure. Quite full-bodied with sweetish hard roasted malt, overripe and dried fruit. Malt bitter finish. I really wonder what got into that aroma - it really killed the fun. 120908

EBF2008. It’s black/brown with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, coffee, licorice and dark fruits. The flavour has notes of roasted malt, a light sweetness, coffee, licorice, dark fruits and the finish has both a light sweetness and bitterness.

?? at EBF copenhagen 2008 ... Deep black ... sweet roast malts nose... very soft mouthfeel... toffee ... some chocolate ... low bitterness.

Draft. A pitch black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of chocolate as well as light notes of coffee. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, chocolate, roasted malt and sweet malt, the alcohol leaves a slight burn on the palate, before a lightly bitter finish sets in.
