[Cask at Volunteers Arms, GBBF 2005] A red-brown beer with no head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of caramel, but also notes of roasted malt. The flavor is dry roasted, combined with light notes of chocolate.

[Cask conditioned] Dark brown coloured. Big malty and fruity aroma. Sweet and malty flavour with a fruity touch. Full bodied and well balanced.

Cask@Out of the Vaults, Leicester. Dark beer with a malty, dry and light aroma and a ruby, fruity and dry flavour. Overall a nice strong beer.

Cask, Out of the Vaults, Leicester. Dark brown with a small head. Aromas are rich, malty with molasses and some fruit, hints of tobacco. Flavours are sweet and fruity with molasses, winter fruit, and some smokiness. Feels heavy on the palate - more like a 7%er than a 5.5. Quite viscous and quite good.
