COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

0.33 bottle as Damn Dark Stout V. Black color and a big, beige head. Aroma of dark malts, licorice, toast, smoke, and some coffee. Taste is also sweet, malty, again licorice, some toast, dark chocolate, roasted malts. Full body, creamy texture, and average carbonation. Finish is quite long and a little bit astringent but not especially. Overall a nice brew, though it leaves an impression it owes more to the style than an actual brewing craft.

Bottle at home. Low and quickly disappearing fluffy white head. Very dark red brown body. Spicy liquorice dominated roasted malt caramel aroma tickling the nose. Solid roasted malt base with a clear crisp and distinct liquorice flavor that does not get too much of a good thing. The high carbonation makes it quite quaffable and although it is quite sweet without much hops bitterness I do like. Long finish.
