27-MAR-2014, bottle @Papsø clear all tasting, @Amager Bryghus with Ulkløbben. 20014 bottle. A gusher. Hazy amber with low tan head. Aroma is fruit and a slight tartness - brett. Taste is even brett’yer. More berries. Not really a Belgian Strong Ale? Smooth, very nice.

SlackerMads (1929) - DENMARK - MAR 28, 2015
Bottle sampled at Amager Bryghus, thanks to Papsø. Hazy brown with a medium sized off white head. Nose is bretty with some funk, leather and fruit. Flavour is also bretty with leather, horse, barnyard. Again light fruit and some bready malt and caramel behind it. Long bretty finish. Carbonation is soft and filling, some sweetness but finishes dry, didn’t notice the high alcohol content except for some warmth.

Bottle. Gusher. murky darkish amber wih airy off-white head. Vinous aroma with hints of malt and hops. Sweetish flavour of caramel malt, with bitter, hoppy notes and dusty touches. Fruity and roasty hints. Estery and slightly bitter aftertaste. Warming alcohol presence. A rather strange BSA but definitely drinkable and not bad at all, despite being out of balance.

Hazy, dark amber. Small offwgite head. Aroma has sour, red berries with light yeasty notes. Sour, spicy flavour and dark malts, not well balanced at all.

Bottle, 9.1%. Gusher. Alcoholic aroma. Cloudy, almost muddy, red/grey colour. Small light brown head. The flavour starts off OK malty. Actually quite complex with dried fruit, liquorice, brown sugar, alcohol. Also some lambic notes, which I am sure are not intended and I do not think they suit the beer, actually. A bit green, but I think there is an infection that might develop if cellared.

Bottle shared with Rune and Finn. High creamy lasting white head. Hazy brown body. Mild cocoa fruit aroma. Powerful roasted malt coffee flavor with a good deal of hops bitterness but unfortunately also too much alcohol in the flavor. Low carbonation. Long finish.

250ml bottle airborne to Tromsø by Skinnyviking, many thanks for sharing. Hazy dark reddish coloured body under a bubbly, fawn-coloured head. Lacing rings down the glass. Aromas of herbal hops and earthy malts. Sweet flavours of caramel, chocolate, and dried fruits. Slightly roasted ending with alcohol tingling on the tongue. Heavy stuff, slow sipper. Decent winter warmer (shared with Skinnyviking and Finn, Tromsø 14.01.2015).
