3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 stobbe74 (3163) - - NOV 1, 2009
Bottle, 50cl. Pours a reddishbrown beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is caramel and hops. The flavor is caramel. The palate is a little bitter. Overall this beer misses a lot of hops to be called an IIPA.
2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Habanero (1249) - Tranbjerg, DENMARK - MAY 1, 2012
Bottled. Pours hazy and orangey amber with an averege sized off-white head leaving a fair lace. Nose of citrus, grass orange +caramel notes. Sweet flavor with herbal hops and a little grape fruit along with caramel. Medium bodied, oily to creamy texture and soft carbonation. Ends up with an OK bitterness. 2xIPA is my favorit style at the time, but this one can’t compare with quality brews from other micros, it’s a little boring.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Hansen (4630) - Assentoft, DENMARK - NOV 5, 2010
Thanks to Randers Crew. Looks good, dark brown, has a lasting head, off-white. Aroma is ok, but not more, I’m a bit dissapointed, Peder. Not much aroma from the hops, not much crisp malt. Flavor is a bit thin for an Imp. IPA, Light malt. Heavy bitter finish. A bit too watery for an Imp. IPA. For me, an Imp. IPA has a heavy malty background to a hammer of hoppy aromas.... This one is ok as a beer, but no heavy malt and no hop-hammer.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 yngwie (9201) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUL 21, 2010
Bottle, from trade with Papsoe. It’s a clear, copper colored beer topped by a minimal sized beige head. Fruity, slightly milky aroma with some orange peel. Low on the hoppy aromas. The flavor is sweet and bitter, with some caramel. Orange peel too. The finish is bitter. Full body. A drinkable beer indeed, but an IIPA needs American hops giving lots of citrusy, resiny flavors, not an English hop in what seems to be small quantities. 100331
