Bottle. [thank you, Thomas]
Pours clear amber with a big, staying bubbæy/frothy, light off-white head. Aroma is floral, fruity hops. Light pilsner malts and some oranges. Light strawberries. Highish carbonation, a bit too spritzy, very dry. Flavour is sweet at first, some resiny notes from the hops. Quite bitter with the Fuggles adding some mild spiciness. Light fruity with red apples and oranges. The finish is very bitter, almost a tad harsh. Not too balanced, but as a high-IBU English IPA, this almost works.
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 brekeriet (139) - SWEDEN - AUG 12, 2010
Bottle 500ml, bottle conditioned. Aroma: alcohol, fruity, estery, rubbery, acetaldehyde (green apples). Appearance: amber, hazy, nice head. Too sweet for an IPA. Too high carbonation. Overall: A lot of off flavours in this beer probably due to high fermentation temps and bacterial infection (could explain the high carbonation). C
