The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Malty and strong aroma. Tastes spicy and strong, a bit alcoholic, finish a bit hard. Good beer!

Bottle MHD 28.5.12, consumed on June 4th - let’s hope she hold up! Nutty caramel nose, taste is only semi-sweet, sticky and harsh, fruit with caramel, nuts; hot booze in the medium body ruins it a bit. Flavorful. Very dark brown body.

0.5 l bottle, thanks Timo A! Amber color. Nutty, worty and caramelly aroma. Firm toasty, nutty and caramelly flavor with hint herbal-grassy hops and chocolate in finish. Good beer for daily consumption. Palate could be softer.

Beer pours out of the bottle in a deep dark brown colour with steady low head and medium body. Aroma of malt and leaves. Taste of malt, nuts, chocolate, woods and basement. Earthy finsih. Okay, but just not that easy enjoyable.

Nicht ganz einfach zu trinken und dabei einfach nur malzig und holzig. Leicht im Karamell mit ein paar Nüssen. Ganz ok.

500ml bottle. Clear red glowing chestnut colour with average to huge, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Minimally grainy dark malty aroma with a chocolate touch, very cautious hints of treacle. Taste is minimally sweet dark malty, cautious hints of treacle, minimally strawy overtones.

Bottle, from Vroni’s in Bamberg. Chestnut red, moderate off white head and gentle condition. Disappointingly brief aromas of caramel and buttery toffee, much the same in the mouth but with an emerging hop note that soon disappears. Finish is mainly burnt toffee with a touch of bitterness.
