Bottle from Rewe in Ebensfeld drunk on the train to Frankfurt. Clear gold lasting white head. Has some malt interest. Bit light for a Landbier. Ok though. Some interest. Not much hop on the finish.

Ein klassisches Zwickel ohne große Ausreißer. Etwas Zitrus, Hopfen ein wenig Malz und eine gute Portion Trinkbarkeit. Ausgewogen und ordentlich.

Pours out of the bottle in a light unclear colour with low steady airy head and medium boody. Aroma of hops and straw. Taste of fresh but mild hops, dust, straw, flowers and green nuts. Citrus-fruity finish. Nice and solid Zwickel.

Christian (11025) - Odense, DENMARK - AUG 8, 2013
Cloudy golden with a small white head. Malty aroma with a grassy touch and plenty of off-putting yeast and phenols. Sweet malty and yeasty flavour with grassy hops and a quite decent bitter finish

Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is light to medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly to moderately hoppy (herbs, flowers), lightly yeasty (dough), with notes of lime/lemon juice and ginger. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery/velvety texture, lively carbonation. Somewhat odd, pilsner-ish rendition. I can’t really fault it for anything specific...it’s clean and bright and bitter/balanced, but it does come off a little generic and haphazard. Almost as if not made by a German brewer. Hard to describe. Good, though.

bottle from landbierparadies. amber with a modest head; aroma of wet cereal; old pancake batter and antacid tablets although not as bad as that may sound
