Bottle from Utobeer. Interesting one. Oily. Over-sweet. Not well balanced. Not exactly my cup of tea. A cute label tho.

33 cl. bottle @ home. Procured at Willems. Cap says 18/03/2014. Looks a bit like a Cola knock-off with a fizzing away beige-head. Makes me think of mazout (Coca-Cola & pils mix). Smells like cheap Cola knock-off, rotting dark fruits, overdone brown banana, wet leaves, very cheap soda. Tastes of cheap soda syrup, rotting dark fruits, Cola, spoiled yoghurt, brown banana, rotting uneatable brries. <body seems a bit off. I cannot shake the mazout / off feel to it. Ugh but drinkable.

Caramel, raisin. Plenty of Maple syrup, rich cereals, dark fruit, sweet finish. Interesting maple twist on a Belgian strong, the sweetness totally covers the alcohol but slowly gets quite overwhelming.

Trübes rötlichbraunes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig süß, überreife Früchte, hefig, würzig. Geschmack malzig fruchtig, reife Früchte, leicht alkoholisch, würzig.

Brownish beer with almost no head and lots of small sediment. Skunky sweet aroma. Flavour is a bit acidic, sweet and flat. (Bottle 33cl)

490 from Asao, shared with Yves. 8% a clear brown color with a minimal head & a malty taste with distinct maple syrup notes. The taste is quite sweet with an interesting interplay between malty caramel & maple syrup. The sweetness isn’t cloying but does linger in a lasting aftertaste which is fairly pleasant. Possibly best served with something to mitigate the sweetness a bit.

330 ml bottle. BB 20/08/2014. From bierzwerg.de. Dark murky brown colour with a small tan head. Apple juice, berry pie and sweet malt in the aroma. The flavour is sweet sugary, mildly dry woody and malty. Not very tasty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
