Countbeer (4709) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - APR 19, 2013
Bottle: Medium to bigger sized, vast and slowly changing creamy beige foamy head on top of a murky brown colored beer. Lots of small chuncks are floathing on all levels through this beer. Aroma is quite nice, reminds me a bit of a Lambic or Wild Ale.yeast, cellar, fruit, wilder yeast, wood, dust, manure, cherries, hint of stone and malts. Flavours of cellar, stone, wood, yeast, bitter, fruity, some spices, yeast, wilder yeast, light soap, light rubber, soke grainy malts, dust, dry peach and some dry ish herbs. Aftertaste is raisin and prunes, dry, wood, yeast and malts. Low to medium carbo, soft creamy mouthfeel, medium to fuller body and a creamy mouthfeel. Very nice beer. Didn’t expect this at all. Love to see what Jean van Roy would create with prunes!

750ml bottle BBE 15/10/2014. Pours opaque dark auburn brown with a thick, yellowish-brown head. Aroma is fresh plum, light sour, berries. Taste is plum, somewhat sweet, malty caramel, some dried fruit and spiciness. Clove is very strong in the beginning. Somewhat vinous. Prune in the aftertaste. Palate is quite full, not much carbonation. Rather underwhelming. There’s a lot of sediment and pouring it in makes the drink fuller, more like a regular dark Belgian rather than a fruit beer. The plum disappears to be filled with rounder dark fruits and caramel. Probably better this way. Scoring without sediment.

750 ml bottle. Pours an orange brown with medium persistent head. Funky dough/yeast, wet basement aroma - not very appealing. Coppery dried fruit taste with additional flavors of malt, chalk, and a bit of cheese. Not for me...
