4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Berry fruits and alcohol in the nose. Dark and slightly rose colour. Quite complex scent. Flavor has a fruity start that becomes rounder and the sweetness dies away just before it becomes too much. Dark malts and plum linger slightly before a clean finish. I normally avoid fruit beers, but this is quite appealing.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Otown Throwdown III> Shared by KP. Pours a medium clear amber with violet highlights, and a thinning hed. Aroma is prune juice, metallic, salt, plastic phenols, harsh fermented and distilled grapeskins- cognac and grappa, earthy woody and mineral. Flavor is flowery, grassy, overly ripe prunes, fruity all around, slight oxidation, plastic, wood and an astringent and metallic finish- I did not like this.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dark copper-amber with a light lasting foam. Aroma of yeast, plums and cheesecake. Sour fruit flavour with a dustiness to the palate. Like a plum Duchesse without the same joy but with a cheesecake residue in the aftertaste and some bark-like bitterness.

I am sucker for any beer brewed with prunes, plums, raisins, dates or figs. These fruits add such an awesome flavor to beer. They kind of turn a beer style into a Dubbel with a bit more sweetness. If you are like me. go get this beer! Sweet dark fruit aroma this is gonna be good. Great caramel brown color with prune sediment floating throughout the beer. Before I opened the beer I saw a lot of floaters so I vigorously shook up the beer to break up the sediment. Damn this is is a great beer and has a rating lower than it deserves only because a few morons have tried it.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle sampled at Dunbar Liquor Boutique, pours hazy dark amber. Aroma and flavour of strong plums, with a noticeable but well-incorporated alcohol kick at the end. Well-refined fruit beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750 c&c from Pizza Port Bottle Shop. Pours hazy, dark red tinged amber. Aroma of fresh plums. Medium body with mild carbonation. Unfortunately the fresh plum aroma tastes more towards prune juice. Interesting stuff, and I think I will work into full enjoyment. Finishes somewhat towards bitter. Good experience.

Geeking out in the full effect, this one took place in the lounge amongst the good people of the area that contains the brains of those that are sweet! Drank well, but yah, just not very interesting. The prune business was a pretty odd, but interesting blend into this guy. Got it for half off, worth a shot, better than I expected!

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
750, corked and baled. Pours a very murky dark purple, near gray. Dense, creamy, fairly fizzy tan head. Sweetish nose of coconut and banana, if that makes any sense. Mild brown bread undertones. Airy medium body with plenty of lively carbonation. Drinks very light, just evaporates on the tongue. More coconut and banana notes on the mid-palate, seems to have no prune essence at all, really, but very well-constructed light flavor profile. Mild finish. This is a great food accompaniment, and could easily be served before or after dinner as well. Very flexible and understated, beautifully made.
