Bottle 75cl. @ home.
Clear amber red color with a average to large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, roasted, caramel, berry’s - dark, raisin, plum, date. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet with a long duration. Body is medium to light full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (290608)

A hazy amber beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet and dominated by prunes - and so is the flavor. The sweetness is too dominant in the flavor, a little more subdued sweetness would make it great.

75 cL bottle, comes as La penneffoise. Pours slight cloudy orange to brown with a lacing white head. Light fruity aroma, mild and fresh plum. Mild fruity flavour with a light sweetness and a mild yeasty note. Light lingering finish of fruit. Nice one.

(Bottle 33 cl) Pours a slightly hazy amber golden with a small, off-white head. Sweetish aroma of roasted malt. Medium-bodied, some roasted malt, some brown sugar and some herbal notes. A lightly bitter finish. 210506

Bottled. Deep brown colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is alcohol, spices, caramel and some burnt wood. Flavour is quite much the same with some fruits along. OK, but nothing very outstanding.

UPDATED: APR 28, 2008 Bottled, thanks oh6gdx! Muddy orange brown with creamy beige head and loads of yeast sediment. Estery fruity nose with pineapple and caramel. Sweet and malty with medium-full body with notes of alcohol and an undefined fruitiness. I get more raspberry and pineapple than prunes. Peculiar and interesting.

Bottle. Hazy orange brown coloured with a beige head. Aroma of fruits and spices. Sweet flavour of malts, caramel, fruits and spices.

Bottle @ The Trappist, Oakland, CA. Pours a darkish reddish amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity spicy yeasty aroma. Sweetish malty fruity spicy prune flavor wit some hints of caramel. Has a sweetish malty fruity yeasty prune finish.

Bottle. Sourish aroma. Clear red/brown colour. Small stable light brown head. The flavour is quite malty, bitter, spicy and with a hint of citric acidity. Aftertaste is malty and dusty. Swelling mouthfeel.

Bottle. Medium head with good duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are sweet fruit and sugar. Some malt and spices too.
