Pours a surprisingly pale golden colour and an unremarkable thin line of foam. A pleasant sweet aroma, nothing jumping out. Very pleasant taste cold, but as it warms the spices become more prominent until unbearably so - cinnamon, nutmeg, mace, perhaps? Decent carbonation, thin slightly creamy body. This is best COLD so as to temper the over-spicing and sweetness.

pours a hazy golden, thick white head.
Aroma was overly yeasty, with candi sugar, cookie dough, some light citrus scent, and a typical nose that was reminescent of speculoos cookie.
Taste, candi sugar, malty, cookie/bready, some honey like sweetness, finish with a light bittersweet palate. Lots of floating sediments. Could be better if the yeast just wasn’t too overwhelming.

This beer looked great on pouring - thick and creamy and a sweet smell. The sediment looked a little dodgy, rich and anaemic, and on top sat some brown. The taste started bad and got much worse. The first beer I simply couldn’t finish. Neither beer or cookies !

I-need-to-get-rid-of-those-mediocre-beers tasting session. The bottle just exploded upon opening, beer everywhere and it just kept coming, what the hell. Just enough left in the bottle for a rating. Golden coloured, big lasting head, a the largest quantity of yeast i have even seen in a beer, i guess this baby has been refermenting like crazy in the small bottle. Very spicy nose, some fruit. Interesting flavour, initially a bit sharp and alcoholic, later the spices come in and in finish it becomes more sweet. Actually way above my expectations, but the amount of yeast is just insane.

bottle, pours hazy orange with a white head. Intrestingly hoppy nose. Sweet malt and candi sugar flavors with slight bitterness, but even the finish is sweet. The 8 percent is masked well.

UPDATED: MAR 16, 2010 Bottled at Horsens Beerfestival. Yellow/orange body with an off-white head. Aroma is spicy like ginger, cinnamon. Flavor is amazing; it’s actually like drinking speculoos cookies. It’s sweet and it’s really something extraordinary. Could probably not have to much of this, but I enjoyed my glass.
Re-rated as a matured bottle. This is actually a very nice beer, the complexity is better when the spice flavor has been redused during storage.

Golden light amber with a medium head. Aromas of fresh yeast and many spices, cloves, cinnamon, santal wood, musk, ginger and spice cake. Very unique aromas. Flavors are much like its aromas with added candy sugar without the musk. Well balanced and its sweetness is nice as well but lacking in the bitter department. Overall, very impressive.
