Purchased at De Bier Tempel in Brussels, Belgium, enjoyed at home in Chicago while booking travel to Brussels in the coming weeks. I thought it was fitting to drink this while doing that activity. However, this stuff wasn’t very good which kind of made the booking process painful. I can’t put my finger on it, but it’s like this one made my stomach upset. The taste is OK, it just doesn’t go down well. Better luck next time!

Hazy orange yellow, lots of unappealing chunks, lasting creamy white head. Muted aroma of yeast and sweet spices. Taste is dominated by sweet baking spices, lots of cinnamon and ginger. Lightly yeasty, toasted malts, no bitterness, cloyingly cookie sweet. Softly carbed, light-medium bodied, agressively cookied. Alcohol well hidden. Sweet and fruity finish. Very festive. NFL (Not For Lagerboys)

On tap at Barcelona Beer Festival 2013. Small Pint (20cl). Pours a dark yellow colour with medium white head. Aroma is pretty much lager-like, nothing special. The flavour is a blend of a lager beer with extra cereal presence (possibly what they call cookie, but doesn’t taste like this IMO). Predominantly sweet. Light body, soft carbonation. Quite boring and easy to forget.

Bottle shared with McTapps. Looks like a cookie, tastes like a cookie and smells like nothing. Drinkable but strange. Taste is really crazy and way too sweet. Just an ok one.

UPDATED: JUL 9, 2013 33CL bottle at home. I found this in a store and thought: I like the cookie so maybe this beer is awesome. That was a mistake. The beer does look average, smells average, and while the taste wasn’t that bad, the after taste was and the worst part it doesn’t taste like the cookie in my opinion

Well, it all begins with the looks and this one is -I’m sorry- just disgusting. Light brown colour with low head,medium-light body and everywhere are swimminga round little pieces. Little pieces of what? I don’t know, I hope "only" cookies..... Nose of bitter cinnamon. Taste of ginger bread, christmas cookies, cinnamon stars and brown sugar. This is a really crazy beer and I’m not sure if I like it. It is kinda hard to swallow. Won’t buy it again....

Bottle (33 cl) from bierzwerg.de. CLear deep golden with some small floaters, medium white head. Strong cloying spicy cookie aroma. Meidum bodied, soft carbonation. Ultra (sic!) sweet. Pretty disgusting.

"Enjoyed" on 10/18/2011

Weird gimmick but I had to try it, being at Delerium Cafe, home of a gazillion beers. Poured into a mildly fluted glass from a bottle. Nice translucent amber with a finger of light head and minimal lacing.

Nose is a cookie! Gingerbread, cinnamon, sugar, spicy pepperiness. Quite nice to the nose, and quite a disappointment on first taste.

Absurdly sweet - overpowers the variety of cookie flavors with almost nothing but sugar. Tiny hints of gingerbread and cinnamon. Few bubbles, but not flat per se. A bit of pepper in the aftertaste but much, much more sugar. Almost rock candy-like - can nearly feel crystals of sugar on the tongue. Got quite sour as it warmed, and was quite difficult to finish.
