Bottle. A super-gusher, producing an unclear, brown body and a small, beige head. Ginger, cloves and some lemon on the nose. The flavor is very spiced, with caramel sweetness as a foundation. Medium body, with surprisingly pleasant carbonation, at least considering its gushing. Well, a decent beer it is, but it lacks on balance. There’s too much spices compared to body and sweetness, but as you see from my score, I like it anyway. 110610

(Bottled) Clear, deep dark red with a very small head. Aroma full of Xmas spices (cinnamon most evident), with roasted maltiness and yeast. Flavor is also very spicy with pepper, coriander, cinnamon, cloves. Not burned at all, although the aroma suggested it a bit. Medium body, maybe slightly watery for the ABV, low CO2. Not the most balanced Xmas beer around, with too much spices for the body. 4235

Dark red-brown colour with thick, creamy head. Aroma is malty, yeasty and a bit spicy. Very rich and silky texture. Some fruitiness, especially cherry, comes through in the flavour. Sweet and syrupy on the lips.

Bottle. Pours a murky brown with a small khaki head. Very sweet and tart aroma with a spicy note which makes me think of Jägermeister, but no so ’nasty’ and with a kind of freshness to it. Overall a bit cloying though. Flavour is sweet and spicy; again with a resemblance to Jägermeister, but more anise-like than the aroma. Finish is the same, with a bit of yeast thrown in for good measure. Overall well-made, but not my thing. 05.11.11.

Pours a nice cola colored brown. Aromas of malts, fruit, and a touch of spice. Has flavors of chocolate, caramel, and a touch of wood. Kinda thin in the finish.

Cloudy brown pour, once the foam died down enough to see actual beer. Needless to say, huge light tannish head. Slow to fade with a tiny amount of lacing. Huge spicy aroma of cinnamon and nutmeg. Smells like a bad pumpkin beer. Tastes like a bad pumpkin pie. Way too much spice. No semblance of beer left. Too much of a spicy aftertaste. It does have a somewhat medium body to it, surprising. A slight malty flavor finally comes through a long time after I swallow it. But that is mixed with a vegetable taste as well. Not very good. One I won’t revisit.
