3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Pours clear yellow with a thick and fluffy white head. Light biscuit aroma with grassy/floral hops that initially seemed just a bit catty. Light body that avoids being too watery combined with medium carbonation. Mildly sweet taste of biscuit and honey. The honey persists into the lightly bitter, crisp finish. This is actually a pretty decent lager.

I didnít know this was a pale lager when I bought it. The bottle is a lot better looking than the beer, but donít be fooled, itís pissy/strawy and nasty.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle from Maui: Clear and gold; headless. Texture was smooth, soft, chewy, kind of sticky. Mild carbonation. Malts had that "cheap" sweetness, making me think of sugar cereal, rice pudding and sweetened grains. Very little hop bitterness or aroma. Possibly some light herbs, but that may be stretching things. Overall, I found it to be too sweet and not very exciting.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Very floral, fruity, citrus aroma with banana, apple, and a dash of malt. Pours with a large white head that leaves in about 2 minutes. No lacing. Very sweet tasting Japanese beer, almost as if it had corn in it (which I doubt is the case). Dry palate with lively carbonation. Nothing to seek out.

3.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
bottle, aroma is a little sour, like stinky feet. Appearance is also subpar. Flavor however, really came through. For the style, itís really quite good. Great malt, grass, even pepper. The hops were quite subdued, as expected. The finish was short and sweet. Palate is medium bodies and smooth. Definitely a good beer to go with a number of dishes, in particular subtle flavors of japanese cuisine. Much better than kirin and sapporo.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Not a bad pale lager, crisp and a bit grassy like a pils, could use a bit more hops since it gets that doughy sweetness again in the aftertaste. Pours bright golden with a very small white head. With a touch more hops this would be solid.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Pours golden with thin white head. Very light grainy aroma with a very slight hint of grassy hops. Light malty flavor is pure without hints of adjuncts beyond rice. Very bright overall. A nice light beer.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a solid golden color with your run of the mill pale lager head. The aroma is of grain, rice and maybe a little bit of hops. Taste very rice like, which isnít necessarily bad since it goes pretty good with Japanese food. Enjoyable but nothing special.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
500ml bottle. Poured a medium and clear golden color with an averaged sized, quickly dissapearing, white head. Aromas of grass, bread, and sweet malts. Tastes of pretty much the same with some grains. Lively body. Not bad for a Pale Lager.
