2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 hawthorne00 (1437) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - MAY 15, 2012
Bottle. Pale gold with a rapidly disappearing white head. Aroma is grainy and a bit corny with some grass. Thin. Taste is more pleasant than the aroma, and is slightly sweet with little bitterness but quite dry at the end so what bitterness there is lingers. There’s hay and perfumed rice and it’s all quite clean. Looks awful and the first sniff was pants, but really not bad at all after that.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 maekchu (167) - Hirakata, JAPAN - MAY 14, 2012
Can from local Yamaya store. Light malty sweetness in the nose. Color is fairly standard yellow, has steady streams of fat slowly rising bubbles. Grassy, some cardboard flavors in mid palate, and touch of mild bitternes in the finish. Thin and crisp, light with the added rice, and gassy. Okay, not really so interesting.
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 StefanSD (1586) - Lakeside, California, USA - APR 30, 2012
500 ml bottle from Mitsuwa market. Pours a pale gold color with a small fizzy white head that quickly disappears. The aroma is corn-like with some salt and citrus. The flavor is similar to the nose with cereal malts, sugar, light citrus and a bit of salt and pepper. The palate is light but appropriate for the style. The finish is short and sweet. Overall: Not too bad for a pale lager, I’d drink this over a bud any day.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 larsga (4663) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 23, 2012
Gusher. Medium offwhite coarseish head doesn’t last. Clear yellow body with carbonation of big fast bubbles. Sugary grainy grassy aroma. Dry-sweetish delicate floral fruity taste with herbal notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, smooth mouthfeel with slight fizz. Dry-sweet grainy grapes aftertaste with herbal notes. Very delicate. Perhaps too delicate, even. (0.5l bottle, CitySuper IFC, Central, Hong Kong.)

500mL at some random place in DC. Above Thai Tanic? Seriously, where am I? Pours with a clear yellow SRM topped by soda fizz. Nose is candy corn and metals with rust and blood iron content. Taste is metallic, super blood iron heavy. Palate is sticky with old candies and sharp metals. Gross.
