A little different to your normal lager. Definitely has a better taste in my opinion.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 GoufCustom (237) - HONG KONG - MAY 3, 2013
330 ml can bought at CitySuper in New Town Plaza, Shatin.
Clear golden yellow colour; Half finger head and weak white foam which last for about 40 seconds; Minimal lacing and notable carbonation. Strong smell of malt, rice, bread and light grass; Very light sweet and rather pleasant taste of malt, strong grainy rice, light bread, faint citrus and light grassy hops; Mid to light body, thin and crisp palate; Taste profile is nice, non-sweet bready malt with strong, tasty polished rice grain character quite unique to this genre. No other foul macro lager taste is detected, very clean and nice throughout; Hoppiness is fairly low on citrus taste, notable grassy aroma and quite impressively mild astringency for a quite decent finish; Quite dry after taste, very easy and nice to mouth.
Comments: After having countless awful macros, I think, at last, I have finally found a pale lager that is decent and fully enjoyable. This one doesn’t have any foul elements, really malty, a very tasty and chewy rice character that is actually a bonus in boosting the taste, a rarity in today’s adjunct-laden pale lagers. I was expecting the worst, instead I’m genuinely surprised and delighted. For a much maligned genre such as the pale lager, there is hope after all. Recommended.

17oz bottle at Sansei in Maui. Waiter insisted its a great Japanese craft beer. Pours looking just like Coors. No aroma. Flavor is sharp and dry. Not worth the $12 I paid for it.

Light yellow in color... Aroma is slightly off... Flavor is light and crisp, light body, hints of malt and grain, touch of hop on the palate... Very easy to drink, but pretty boring overall
2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 MarkQ (67) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 19, 2013
It’s got a dry finish... this stuff uses rice which I’m not too keen on. I’ve tried better beers but at least it doesn’t have a chemical taste to it.

Blue Ocean, Fairfax bottle: Pours a pale gold with a small white head. Aroma is rice, a bit of hops, and sugar. Taste is somewhat sweet, with a nice little grainy bite. Refreshing and easy-drinking. It is very obviously Japanese. Not bad.
1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 trapped (352) - TURKEY - FEB 5, 2013
Bottle. Pale yellow color with whitish foamy small head, doughy aroma, strong doughy yeast flavor and sweetish bland taste. Poor excuse for a lager.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 redlight (2289) - Winter Park, Florida, USA - NOV 14, 2012
honey aromas with light grassy notes. Pours clear blonde with a thick white head that dissipates quickly. Flavor is very malty, richer flavor than i expected for a light lager. Nice honey malts upfront with bitter grassy hops. Finishes with a dry earthy bitter hop flavor.
3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 Tommygface (3) - Brunswick East, AUSTRALIA - NOV 13, 2012 does not count
Appearance: Lovely pale colour. Strong head that dissipates quickly. Nice lacing.
Nose: Got light malt and grains with a sweetness that usually comes with Asian beers. A sour twist from the rice that is not unwanted. Grassy hops.
Taste: Starts of clean and delicate. So well carbonated that it excites the mouth. Light body without becoming watery. Sweet malts and semi bitter hops and a sweetness of sushi rice.
Sashimi or Korean food is always paired with this in my house.
