35cl can from somewhere in Japan. Pours clear dark caramel brown with a fluffy, but fairly fast dissipating head. Malty and caramelly with mild roasty notes. Fairly sweet and malty, but a fairly nice bitterness in the finish. Quite okay!

L: pours a deep amber red with smallish off-white head, a tiny bit of lacing. S: decent amber ale malt sweetness, hint of caramel, hop and sugar. T: not bad flavour of malt, raspberry jubes, caramelised sugar. A tad sweet but enough balance to be enjoyed. F: got watery quickly at the end, not much bitterness. O: the only half-decent budget amber I know in Japan, and good every now and then.

Some Japanese store: Pours amber with a whitish head. Aroma is light caramel and mediocre amber ale smell (if you know, then you know, if not, then you don’t). Taste is old caramel and some nondescript bitterness. Sugary aftertaste. Very mediocre.
