COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
As the winter sun hangs low in our sky, some 93 million miles away, solar filaments, giant arcs of cool, dense plasma explode from its surface. Filament Winter IPA celebrates this cosmic wonder. Pale, Munich and Caramel malts create a rich malt character with a honey-like flavor. A bounty of Crystal, Chinook and Centennial hops combine to lend spicy, citrus hop notes.

Keg at the taproom, 08/11/14. Clear golden with a moderate off white covering. Nose is pale malts, orange, straw, light grapefruit, earthy hop notes. Taste comprises madarin, straw, orange pith, light bread dough, caramel malt. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semui drying close. Ok easy drinker but lacks any hop presence and depth.

22 oz bottle. Aroma: malty and citrusy, with hints of graham cracker. Taste/Palate: sweet and crisp; finish is long and bitter. Slightly on the bitter side of a perfect hop/malt balance, but still a glorious beer!

Poured from a 22. Appearance is the standard IPA profile. Aroma has a piney, spruce smell to it. Flavor is hoppy then spicy with a bitter finish.

Jow (2264) - New York, USA - MAY 26, 2014
Bottle at home continuing Oregon themed memorial day. Pours golden amber with fine beige head. Nose is light hops and caramel. Tastes of light piney hops, caramel, earthy bitterness, tea, some pepperiness, light honey sweetness. Standard yet solid enough IPA not sure all that wintery it’s 80 degrees out and this is plenty enjoyable.

5000 (6299) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - MAR 19, 2014
Bottle:   Looks good, smells like a moderately hopped example.   Clean bitter start, smooth, soft pith and a touch of citrus peel on the back.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Moderate to strong hop bitterness on the backside.   Almost could use a touch more sweetness and malt strength to balance it out.   As is, would be a hop lovers dream despite it smelling a bit average, it packs a hoppy punch.   Decent offering, fairly solid.

22 oz bomber bough from "Lifesource" in Salem OR $4.99 Pours a clear dark orange with a very large bubbly yet thick and creamy head. Rich and malty noce, bready, honeyish but also hops put in a good appearance citric.slight resin. Flavour is decidely on the malt side and is pretty sweet almost too candy sugar sweet for my liking...Sweet toffee..a little hop in the end..not really my thing. Moutheel is OK..the best thing is the hops show up after the beer goes down the gullet. Not impressed..its not bad but not something i would look out again.
