COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Spica is the brightest star in the constellation Virgo. This Lager is brewed in the Un-filtered Kellerbier style. Pale malt is used exclusively to give the beer a nice malt body and light golden color. Sterling hops add a rich herbal character. The yeast left in the beer works with the hops to add a nice spicy flavor.

Pint in "b2 taphouse" in S.Salem. $4.00 very slightly hazy golden beer with a small white head. Aroma a good mix of caramel, almost chewy malt and fresh soicy and herbal hop quality. Smooth balanced flavor with the hops just about winning out. Nice smooth mouth feel medium carbonation Good beer here.

Bright straw, aroma is a touch herbal with light bread. Bitter, lean, fresh pale malt, great balance. I like this.

On tap at Ecliptic, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma is pretty weak, with biscuity malt and light spicy noble hops. Flavour is spicy and dry, with dry grassy hops and a touch of spiciness. Dry palate, making this drinkable. But pretty boring.

Draft pour at Toronado first day. Pours golden with a bready aroma. Really interesting beer here. Kind of a cross between a pilsner and a hefe, with a good amount of hops and spice. Really solid, unique beer. Good stuff.

Interesting beer. On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear yellow color with a large white head. A spicy lemon nose, some perfume. The flavor is herbal, some bitter lemon peel, a bit of smooth yeast and a dry clean finish. Good.

Draft at apex. Pours clear gold with creamy white head. Lovely lacing. Aroma: lemon, bubblegum, spice, toast. Taste: biscuit and citrus, long toasted grainy finish. Moderate hop bitterness. Light body, pretty crisp and quaffable with a pronounced hop presence. Good break between imperial beers for me.

On draught at ecliptic - pours clear golden with small white head. Nose of faint hop, citrus, and yeast. Taste is dominated by yeast followed by diluted bitter hop. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Ecliptic. Colour...hazy light straw with a thick white head. Nose...yeasty, some butyl esters and hints of lemon. Palate...clean, lightly tart and lemony with citrusy yeast, alum and grapefruit pith. The finish is lengthy and lightly bitter.
