COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Spica is the brightest star in the constellation Virgo. This Lager is brewed in the Un-filtered Kellerbier style. Pale malt is used exclusively to give the beer a nice malt body and light golden color. Sterling hops add a rich herbal character. The yeast left in the beer works with the hops to add a nice spicy flavor.

A very refreshing beer that is a little more hoppy than it’s IBU rating. Found it at Grocery Outlet in Lincoln City, OR.

On tap @ Ecliptic. Hazed golden colored beer with a white head. Bready and grainy up front with a fair bit of grassy hop. Somewhat fruity and estery as well. There’s a fair bit of grassy and earthy bitterness to this one. Maybe a light herbal quality as well. But mostly, this is just kind of sweet, griany, and fairly estery.

Sampled at the brewery. Big bitterness for the ABV. Big Euro hop spiciness. Fruit is nice. This is multidimensional and tasty.

Tap at the brewery. A: Clear straw color, couple rows of bubbles, thin white head. N: Straw, pine, earth, some clove, coriander, lots of grass, and cracker. T: Nicely bitter; light sweetness. M: Light body, foamy carbonation, no alcohol presence. O: Hoppy pilsner. Quite good. It’s clean and highly drinkable, especially on a hot summer day. Reminds me of Heater Allen, in a positive way.
