3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Medium sized thicker and slowly settling down creamy beige head. Changes slowly into a closed and thicker lacing on top of a murky brown colored beer.
Aromas of wheat, vanilla, grains, grains, toast and some sprinkles of peach.
Flavours of wheat, bitters, light spices, some fruits like mostly bananas, some peach and less citrus, bread, some iron (which fades away fast), malts, herbs, a hint of cardboard and barleys.
Aftertaste is a mix of wheat,,fruit, bitter, malts and some cardboard toast.
Low to medium carbo, soft light tingly mouthfeel, medium body and a creamy texture.
Not bad and suits a dinner well.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Citrusy aroma, lemon verbena with a hint of banana. Amber appearance, less cloudy than expected. Beige, creamy head. Taste bitter, caramel roast malt overtones. Abrupt finish. Not a bad beer, but nothing special - a good dunkel.

UPDATED: SEP 28, 2012 Very watery, dissapointing and with almost no taste. Must be the worst weiss I have tasted. The first taste and aroma is very light, not very bad, maybe with some caramel, but the taste is dissapeering in a second - the aroma too.. Like it’s blendet with water. A bit bitter to. Seems like this is a complete mistake, and then mixed with water. Tried this for the third time, and it continues to dissapoint big time.

The head is ok, the body dark. It smells darkmalty, wheat and a bit sour. The taste is dry, a bit sour in the background, sweet-fruity, darkmalty-yeasty. OK 12/9/9/9/13/11

Vom Fass @Bieramt, Wien. Unclear dark amber. Dense tanned head.
Perfumey fruit aroma, some banana and hint of yeast.
Mellow, light sweet and wheaty malt flavor. Pretty nice fruitiness, yellow fruits and mild citrus. Mid-bodied. Very soft in the mouth. Fruity endnotes. Harmonious and easy on the palate.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: APR 30, 2012 Bottle from Austria. Poured pale brown colour with realatively stable pale white head. Banana and hefe in the nose, some roasted malt, moderate aroma. Mild, silky taste, though it has a strong banana feel with some dark traces. light bitter. A very good one from Kaltenhausen, I like this one much better than the average Edelweiss hefe.
