COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
EDELWEISS Hefetrüb is unfiltered, golden and very fruity with a slight banana nose. Refreshingly this fine sparkling wheat beer offers spice-like flavors on the palate.

500 ml. bottle dated 7/14. It pours a hazy yellow color with a tall white head that shrinks pretty quickly. The aroma is nicely estery, but heavier on the sweet banana than I usually like. There’s also some strong wheat and clove. The flavor is light up front and doughy in the middle with more strong banana. There’s some stale bubble gum and raw dough in the finish. It’s reasonably crisp and refreshing with a nice body and good carbonation. Overall, I wasn’t digging the dough and banana, but I liked the estery nose and crisp mouthfeel.

Bottle - Pours hazy amber with a foamy, quickly dissipating white head. Nose is classic hefe--sweet wheat bordering on bubble gum, a little clove, and some syrupy tropical fruit flavors creeping in. Definitely on the sweet end. Taste is the same--sweet, syrupy wheat, a little spicing, some doughy yeast, and abundant fruitiness. Slick and thin in the mouth, with some carbonation. Too sweet for my tastes, but it’s nice to try another Euro interpretation of the style.

Hazy yellow golden liquid. White stable foam. Aroma of banana and citrus. Slightly sour. Herbal finish. Refreshing but unspectacular Weizen.

Aroma: Banana, cloves and sweet malts. Taste: Very refreshing classic hefeweizen flavour. Bananas, cloves, herbs, little bit of cinnamon and yeast aftertaste. Average head, average carbonation. Great beer for everyone who need to know that syle.

500ml bottle - Thanks Maret!
Quite bold spicey hefe aroma - lots of clove, coriander seed, orange and banana. Pale wheat colour, slightly cloudy, brief tight head. Pretty servicable hefe taste too. Plenty of wheat, banana, some spice, just a tiny sour hint, and a little minerally wateriness. Simple palate, fullish, but nothing special. Finish wheaty, but also some nice herbal hops. After their last wheat beer, I wasn’t expecting much at all, but this is a pretty solid hefe.

50cl bottle at home. Pale yellow with a medium white head. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Sweet with some bitter tones. Banana, wheat, vanilla, herbs and yeast. Quite an ok hefeweizen.

(bottle) pours a murky golden colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of wheat, cheesecake and caramel, with a light hint of floral hops, some yeast, heavy banana and vanilla. flavour is mostly the same, lots of cheesecake, banana and subtle spices, clove, cinnamon and vanilla, with a semi-dry floral-hoppy finish. slightly watery body with average carbonation. awesome stuff!

Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle, best by July 20, 2014, poured into a weizen glass. Pours hazy golden with big bright white head. Aroma is banana with some bubblegum, light body, well carbonated, and some big bubble lacing. Taste is lighter spice (mostly clove), some banana, and some bubblegum. Hoped for more richness in body and taste, but pretty sessionable.
