EDELWEISS Hefetrüb is unfiltered, golden and very fruity with a slight banana nose. Refreshingly this fine sparkling wheat beer offers spice-like flavors on the palate.

Bottle. Moderate grain and white bread for the malt, light to moderate lemon for the herbs and dough for the yeast, with hints of banana and clove. Head is large, frothy, white with good slippery lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is hazy yellow. Flavor starts slightly sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes faintly bittersweet. Palate is on the lighter side of medium, a little slick and has a lively carbonation and a dry finish. A bit more refreshing than most German Hefeweizens.

adster (120) - HUNGARY - JUN 28, 2014
Halványsárga színű, opálos búzasör, melynek hamar elmúló lágy, krémszerű habja van és intenzív, élesztős illata. Az első kortyok határozott szénsavasságról tesznek tanúbizonyságot, kissé éles, enyhén csípős hatást kiváltva. Élénkebb jellege mellett enyhe citrusossága miatt is ideális szomjoltóként funkcionál, de azok is megtalálhatják benne számításaikat, akik az ízekre is szeretnek némi figyelmet fordítani. Ehhez nagyszerű alapot szolgáltat az élesztős, malátás, kissé fűszeres jelleg, melyek megadják a sör határozott karakterét.

Mooie oranjegele kleur met een goede kraag. Ruikt tarwe, fruitig, iets citrus. Smaakt fris, fruitig, zoetig, citrus.

Bottle at home. Pours a hazy pale yellow with a white head. Aroma of bread dough, fruity, bit of banana, but not too much, wheat and yeast. Taste is sweet fruity, yeast, wheat, slightly bitter aftertaste. Not bad.

Bottle 500 ml at home, poured into a weizen glass, ABV 5.3% Golden honey colour on the bosy, slighty hazy, with a big white head sitting on top, very thick, with good retention, leaving light lacing behind. Aroma of ripe bananas, ripe pears, light floral notes and yeast. Nice taste, wheat, fruity with mostly ripe bananas, a touch of bubblegum. Medium thin body, good carbonation. Overall quite good, meets the expectations.

Enjoyed on draft while eating at the Copenhagen Street Food market. I didn’t take tasting notes, us remember this being a great German Weiss with huge banana notes, looked bright with a rich white head. Quite enjoyable.

Bottle purchased in Tirana (Albania) at a supermarket. Pours a cloudy golden color, white compact foamy head which quickly goes. At the nose tons of bananas but also apple and pastry cream. Mouth: medium-high carbonation, banana, lemonade, little honey and some bitter overall feel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pale orange, hazy body, with a big, frothy, white head, that dissipates quickly. Aroma of creamy banana juice, clove, orange, citrus, grains. Taste with about the same aromas, very estery, less banana aroma, also bready notes and a good balance between sweet, spicy and also slightly bitter. Mouthfeel is medium, oily, with a lively carbonation and it finishes bready, spicy and fruity. A nice, classic example of a Hefeweizen, that maybe is more filling than others and has a full, balanced flavour.
