On tap at "The Wall" night club in Pisa, Italy. Cloudy light yellow pour. Thick marshmallow head. Flavor of marshmallow and goop. Grainy roasted smegma aroma. Thin, watery mouth feel. No hops, no malt, no after taste. FAIL!!!!!!!

Bottle. The colour is a classical Weizen, hazy, with a bit of orange. Strong Weizen aroma, with an emphasis on cloves. Nice and fresh. The taste is also full of cloves. Strong mouthfeel, a lot of malty notes with some light fruit.

Decent enough weiss. Pours cloudy yellow with thick, tall white head. Aroma is citrus, wheat, tropical fruit, a hint of spices. Taste is a touch peppery up front with a slight bitterness over a sweet backbone. A bit of an off-taste in the short finish. Creamy but a touch too light body, medium carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A fine looking hefe that looks and smells almost like a witbier, though it states that no spices are added. Aroma of spices, lemon and banana peels. Totally cloudy light yellow, visibly effervescent. Tastes sweet and tart in equal measures. Carbonation that’s both soft yet biting, nor is it dry. Very refreshing, excellent hefe that presents a nice contrast to heavier handed Bavarian examples. As Indy’s fraulein fatale says, ’This is how we say goodbye in Austria...’

Hazy yellow, big white head with some retention. Nose is sweet pear, bananas and yeast. Taste is pear, bananas, sour wheat, some hops in the finish. Prickly carbonation, crisp mouthfeel. Not overpowering and quite refreshing.

Brown 500ml bottle, best before 12/2009, drank during 11/2009. Poured into a Franziskaner Weissbier glass. Pale, cloudy yellow body with a huge bright white head on top. The prominent smell was of bananas, but not the ripe heavy aromas some produce in this style. The light refreshing taste was of yeast and wheat, again like the smell, not very strong. It feels weak in all aspects including the body and mouthfeel. I thought the beer was playing at being a true Weissbier and failed to live up to my expectations. Drinkable, but disappointing.
