EDELWEISS Hefetrüb is unfiltered, golden and very fruity with a slight banana nose. Refreshingly this fine sparkling wheat beer offers spice-like flavors on the palate.

On tap at "The Wall" night club in Pisa, Italy. Cloudy light yellow pour. Thick marshmallow head. Flavor of marshmallow and goop. Grainy roasted smegma aroma. Thin, watery mouth feel. No hops, no malt, no after taste. FAIL!!!!!!!

Bottle. pours a hazy light golden color with a nice head. Aroma of citrus, banana, yeast, fruit sweetness and spice. Taste of fruit sweetness, banana and bit of spice. Mild bitterness and a fairly clean finish. Moderate body, has a nice "Hefe" character. Nice beer for the style.

Mediocre for a Bavarian beer. Actually doesn't taste much like a Hefeweizen. More like half a Hefeweizen. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle sample. Hazy light yellow with small white head. Great candy aroma, bubblegum, fruity (banana, pear). Sweetish flavor of candy, fruity (mostly banana, some apple), bubblegum, wheat, yeasty, sticky sweetish finish. Medium carbonation, light to medium-bodied.

The banana is quite strong in this one. It’s also quite sparkling for a weissbier, maybe a bit too much for my liking. Still tastes pretty good, but I agree with all of the other people calling this good if unspectacular.

500 ml. bottle dated 7/14. It pours a hazy yellow color with a tall white head that shrinks pretty quickly. The aroma is nicely estery, but heavier on the sweet banana than I usually like. There’s also some strong wheat and clove. The flavor is light up front and doughy in the middle with more strong banana. There’s some stale bubble gum and raw dough in the finish. It’s reasonably crisp and refreshing with a nice body and good carbonation. Overall, I wasn’t digging the dough and banana, but I liked the estery nose and crisp mouthfeel.

Bottle - Pours hazy amber with a foamy, quickly dissipating white head. Nose is classic hefe--sweet wheat bordering on bubble gum, a little clove, and some syrupy tropical fruit flavors creeping in. Definitely on the sweet end. Taste is the same--sweet, syrupy wheat, a little spicing, some doughy yeast, and abundant fruitiness. Slick and thin in the mouth, with some carbonation. Too sweet for my tastes, but it’s nice to try another Euro interpretation of the style.

Hazy yellow golden liquid. White stable foam. Aroma of banana and citrus. Slightly sour. Herbal finish. Refreshing but unspectacular Weizen.

Aroma: Banana, cloves and sweet malts. Taste: Very refreshing classic hefeweizen flavour. Bananas, cloves, herbs, little bit of cinnamon and yeast aftertaste. Average head, average carbonation. Great beer for everyone who need to know that syle.
