Orange color with fluffy Weizen head. Sweet bubblegum banana aroma, not much spiciness. Taste is the same. A bit of a boring Weizen.

Cloudy golden color, small white head. Aroma is banana and some yeast. Taste is more bubblegum than banana, but not bad. Medium sweet. Thin to medium body, creamy texture flat to soft carbonation. Long banana finish. Not bad.

Typisches Weizen ohne grossen Charakter. Hefig mit ein klein wenig Spritzigkeit und ein bisschen an Fruechten. Recht trinkbar, langweilig, seelenlos.

Bottle from Spar in Austria. The beer pours out in a hazy orange-amber colour with steady head and medium body. Aroma of yeast and bread, followed by a taste of intense yeast, dough, bread, wheat, cloves and bananas. Typical Hefeweizen, nothing good but also nothing bad about it.

50cl Bottle brought from Austria, thanks dad! Murky golden amber colour, off-white head. Aroma of banana, ripe pear, wheat, some grain, yeast. Flavour is medium sweet, wheat, banana, pear, just light spicy, light grainy, yeast, becomes sweeter towards the end of the glass. Light-bodied, a little watery, but decent Weizen.

Bottle. Dark orange, cloudy body, with a big, frothy, white head. Aroma of banana, orange, clove, some bread, some roastyness. Taste with about the same aromas. Mouthfeel is medium to light, with a moderate carbonation and it finishes light, fruity and spicy. Somewhere between a pale Hefeweizen and a Dunkelweizen. Not bad, but a bit too thin for my liking.

Though i’m not a great lover of ’weissbier’, I really fell for Edelweiss. It’s best served with a slice of lemon, really cold. Back in the college years, we had loads of Edelweiss in Múzeum Kávézó, Budapest. Yesterday, I had one in Kamara Café, it was a real punchline for a hard day’s night.
