Our ’St Andrews Blonde’ has a positive attitude about it. Not many will sit on the fence with this one. Scott reckons it is his favourite.
It is full of personality which is consistent with it’s ingredients and their origins. The primary hop is the galaxy hop from Australia which has a strong fruit flavour range which covers a spectrum from apricot to pineapple, yet has a balancing grapefruit bitterness on the palate. We reckon his beer has stacks of flavour and body but is hugely drinkable at just 3.8abv. Like the porter we can’t wait to get feedback from a wider group of discerning consumers on the blonde.
Whilst this beer is definitely one to be consumed and savoured on it’s own it also pairs well with cheese and game dishes.

There’s soething wrong with this beer taken from the bottle. The aroma is of sulphur / yeast. SO the whole experience is rather tainted by this. The hop aroma can’t get by this although the actual taste is probably little effected. Shame as this is the last of three in a presentation pack and I enjoyed the previous two. Quality control?
