COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottled A refreshing, deliciously drinkable and well balanced Golden Beer, with a hint of citrus and slightly hoppy character. A refreshing, deliciously drinkable and well balanced Golden Beer, with a hint of citrus and slightly hoppy character.3.9% vol Pale rye, lager malt, caramalt and wheat is complemented by a generous helping of first gold and cascade hops to deliver a very refreshing beer with a broad appeal. Just enough citrus and hop to quench the thirst, but packs enough tang and tingle to encourage you to ask for another. Well worthy of a round, the 19th is now offered to thirsty golfers on the 9th hole of the famous ‘Old Course’.

Bottle, The One Under, St Andrews. Amber pour with a meek white head. Uninspiring malt, grain and nut nose. Similar flavour with the hops not being allowed to shine and a muted bitterness. Drinkable but dull. The Old Course deserves a better beer frankly.

Golden with a white head. Well balanced taste, smooth, light bitterness, hint of butterscotch or toffee malt. Pretty good beer.

Pint at World Village Market, Paisley. Light golden ale. Malty taste with slight banana overtones. I enjoyed it with a bratwurst, though would go perfectly with crisps or nuts.

Keg at The Foodie Festival, Clapham Common. Pours amber, with a touch of haze and a medium white head that dissipates quickly. Nose is lots of malty cereal grain husk, honeyish. Taste is the same. Pretty standard golden ale with lots of grain husk.

330ml bottle from Stockbridge Farmers’ Market. Foamy white head disappears quickly, no lacing. Body is clear golden and looks good. Some vegetables and herbs on the nose, taste is straw with a little hops. Malt comes through towards the end and aftertaste is sweeter. Quite a bit of carbonation. Decent drink for a summer day.
