COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Like "El Padrino" this beer is strong, reliable, smooth, and always looking out for you. Loaded with a wide variety of malts the result is a dark, smooth and truly drinkable porter. The hops are subtle but they let you know they are present.

Bottle at DŘE Řlfestival 2016. High creamy light brown head. Pitch black body. Sweet choccolate vanila aroma and flavor with a nice hops bitterness, low carbonation and a long finish. Well balanced with a solid body in spite of the relatively low alcohol percentage. Alcohol level seems just right.

Pours black with huge thick beige head. Aroma is raisin, vanilla, some crispy white bread, dust, coffee. Taste is light at first, but then comes grass and hops, hay. After is coffee, caramel, burnt bread. A bit strange beer.

UPDATED: APR 23, 2016 Tap (Speakeasy, Tallinn) (6:4:6:3:13=3.2)
Dry old roast aroma, brown, says old-fashioned. Taste is a bit nutty, but there’s a dry acidity alongside the nutty roast. A bit over-hopped for the drinkability I like in porters. Still decent. Anna likes this more than me because of the nuttiness. Rerate of: Tap (TCBW2016) (6:4:6:3:12=3.1)
Blackish. Sweet malts, roasty, some weak coffee. Flat and dead, rather than smooth. Finish dry and roasty, but not in a particlarly pleasant way.

Bottled. More or less black colour with a mediumsized brown foamy head. Aroma is toffee, some mild roast, a bit liquorice and ash, but also there’s a nice fruitiness to it. Flavour is toffee, ashes, some roasted malts, liquorice, mild caramel as well as some floral, grassy and quite bitter notes too. Still this one has a nice balance between the hops and the porter notes. Surprisingly easy to drink, almost quaffable, even though being 7 %.

Tap @TCBW 2016. Pitch black color. Huge size, brown head, stays. Orange, dark chocolate, coffee, roasted malts, sweet and woody in aroma. Dark chocolate, roasted malts, sweet and woody in taste. Spicy hops and touch of chalk in aftertaste. Fizzy palate. Solid brew.

On tap at TCBW 2016. Dark browne, almost black liquid. Quite high, white head. Slightly sour and bready aroma with hints of berries. Reminds raisins or grapes. Creamy coffee at first. Hints of chocolate. Slightly sour. Bready and spicy aftertaste. Rather medium bodied. Quite well drinkable beer.

Draft @ Pudel, Edge tap takeover night.
