Like "El Padrino" this beer is strong, reliable, smooth, and always looking out for you. Loaded with a wide variety of malts the result is a dark, smooth and truly drinkable porter. The hops are subtle but they let you know they are present.

Draught. Pours pitch black with a non-lasting white head. Aroma is of chocolate, vanilla, coffee, lactose. Taste is of chocolate, caramel, vanilla, milk chocolate. Really smooth, light carbonation, oily texture. This beer is so drinkable, great stuff.

Dark brown color almost black with a frothy tanh head that quickly dissapears. Aroma has roasted notes with black chocolate hints. Flavor quite similar as aroma with some ash notes and light licorice. Slightly coffee final with a medium watery mouthfeel.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks Tom L. Dark brown to black with a beige head. Roasty aroma with a bit of coffee and an olive note. Roasty flavor, rather dry, with a bit of coffee, and a bitterish finish. Medium-bodied.

Bottle from Etre Gourmet. Dark malts on the nose, some chocolate and also hops, grapefruit and pine. Similar taste, some dark chocolate, hops and light coffee. Also some caramel. The malts and hops merry very well.

I for one thoroughly enjoyed this Spanish-brewed porter. Poured a solid dark brown with plenty of head and lacing. Aroma of sharp roastiness and caramel malt. Burnt sugar caramel and coffee roast in the taste, not picking up on the alcohol or astringent notes alleged by other reviewers. I thought this import was quite fresh and refreshing, with standard roasted malt notes. More roast malt than coffee or chocolate. Medium bodied and smooth. Drinkable!

Bottle. Aroma roasty, fruity, sharp, some alcohol. Very dark colour. Taste basically the same as aroma, added DMS. Has space for improvement.
