3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Tom Taylors. Floral, floral, floral. That’s the aroma, the taste and the overall vibe of this lager. It’s a great take on this typically tired and unadventurous staple. It forces one to recontemplate the beer style and life more generally. It’s cool and it’s hoppy, but without any jarring bitterness.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
330ml bottle. Clear deep golden with average white head. Nose is certainly hoppier than most pale lagers with notes of citrus, white peppers and passionfruit on top of a honeyish grainy malt bill. Palate is well balanced malt and hops with a lightly spicy bitter finish. Medium bodied with a slick texture and moderate carbonation. Overall a pretty good session lager.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Is there a better Aussie lager? Very clean and very fresh. Great hop presence. A seriously good lager and stands up to great versions of the style from all over the world
Earlier Rating: 12/14/2012 Total Score: 3.9
Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours vibrant orange with a two finger fluffy white head. Nose has a fair bit of summer driven fruits in it with biscuity malt behind it all. A touch of grain and grass too. Nice and balanced. Taste is backed by biscuit malts. Shows fruit driven hops with a fair bit of hop bitterness to finish off. Slightly floral. Very balanced. Carbonation is a little high for m liking though but works well for a lager. Good, solid stuff
