Bomber from Headbanger - thanks! Clear gold with a thin white head. Sweet berry nose (acai?) light wheat and dough. Lightly tart berry flavors, wheaty and mild. I found this to be a decent drinker - not sure why it’s rated so low.

Pours a clear golden with a smaller white frothy head 2.5. Tart berry aroma, some wheat, a bit grainy, sweet. Flavor is actually quite bitter, grainy, metallic, tart berry, blueberry, a touch waxy. Medium/light bodied, faint mouthful, soft fizzy carbonation, super quick finish 2.5. eh...

Pretty strong multi-fruit aroma. Rather fake fruity, light flavor. Not great, but not awful.

Cloudy pale straw. Faint acai nose with doughy malts. Faint fruity taste. A throwback to the lame fruit beers of the mid-90s.

Bottle at Zekes with Oakes. part of our swill tickfest! Pours a yellow color with a small white head. I smell blueberries and wheat. Flavor reminds me of seadog blueberry. Better than I thought it would be but not all that great.

On tap at the Spuyten Duyvil in Brooklyn. Pale, straw gold with a white had that faded very fast. Strong aroma of acai, berries, a little grass/wheat. Heavy mouthfeel. Flavor is heavy on the berry, vegetal, grassy. Watery on the palate. Good concept but not enough acai and/or not enough wheat.

Funny guys, put a twist-off marked cap on a no twist-off bottle. Very light straw color with a wispy, foamy, dissipating white head. LIght berry and hint of wheat aromas. Not a bad scent just not much there. Berries in the front. Somewhat fizzy in feel. Drys out until there is just a bit of quinine on the tongue in the finish. A touch citric. Has some berliner weisse qualities, but I don’t know that that was intended.

Sampled from a bottle at the Raleigh WBF. I have to admit, this sounded terrible and wasn’t all that bad. Can’t say I quite liked it, but it wasn’t offensive. Tart berry, wheat, and mild citrus. Hazy golden, so no scary berry colors. Not terrible.

22 oz. bomber. As of now, still the first and only beer using the newly trendy acai berry. Quite a tart smell when first opened. Poured into a short weizen glass (Goose 312), it shows a golden wheat beer color, clear, under a high yet loose head. Tart berry smell with hints of raspberry, no saccharine or fake fruit smell. Taste of the usual filtered American wheat beer. Fruit taste stays in the background, no nasty cloying here, I say. But the mouthfeel comes across thin and slightly metallic, like a light beer. Of course this is only 4% abv, so perhaps that couldn’t be helped, but it could use a bit more hop. Or I could be perceiving some similar weakness in most organic beers.

On tap at Stone. Color was a dark gold color. Aroma of must, wheat and only a hint of fruit/perfume. Flavor was dryer than expected. Didn’t find the fruit flavor very strong. Wheaty. Not much going on here.
