Clear golden yellow, thin foamy white head fades. Berry fruity aroma. Nice light, clean berry fruity wheaty taste, not at all cloying or artificial. Average carbonation, light bodied, low hopped. Clean sweet finish. Well done for what it is. LF (Lagerboy Friendly)

Dark yellow, very fizzy body. Crisp fruity flavor. Very interesting and definitely one of a kind.

UPDATED: APR 2, 2012 The body was a plain yellow. The aroma a was of stale bread and artificial-quality fruit. As for the flavor... Just about the same but with some light and bready notes that diminished into a light dry finish. Ehh.

Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy/fizzy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is dark yellow. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain), with light notes of blueberry and blackberry. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Light body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation, lightly astringent. Meh, pretty much what you’d expect...light and watery and berry flavored. Certainly the fruit isn’t overdone but there’s not much to entice either. It’s not bad for what it is, but who can truly get excited about a fruity wheat beer?

5000 (4967) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - NOV 25, 2011
Bottle:   Pale yellow, almost like a Witbier, a little hazy, moderate spritzy white head, dies quickly, no real lacing.   Pale wheat malt on the nose, also some very pale Mountain Blueberry.   Not sure I know exactly what an Acai Berry tastes like, but Mountain Blueberry seems similar.   Light cereal wheaty malts, very light, falls off quickly, fleeting berry like flavor.   Very spritzy on the tongue, fizzy, almost like seltzer water.   Doesn’t linger at all, just falls off leaving a smidgen of unripened Mountain Blueberry like skin on the exit.   This one is VERY ho-hum.   Not bad, just light, boring, and more like a flavored spriter water than a beer.

UPDATED: NOV 25, 2012 This is a great summer time beer, they did an excelent job on this beer. The wheat flavor is superb and would be great by itself, but to top it off it has just this subtle flavor of Acai on the end. I usually dont like fruit beers but this isnt really a fruit beer it is like when most people put a lime into their corona. Try this one and keep an open mind.

honestly, not that bad. but also, no real beer backbone at all, like many american wheat beers. this is borderline "chick" beer, to be put along side BL Lime on the shelves. im more upset about the lacking beer qualities than the weird ingredients.

22oz bottle 11/11/11 (Binny’s Naperville Singles Rack)-33° in flute-Pours a slightly hazy orangish yellow with a small white head. Aroma of wheat, citrus, and acai. Taste of the same with more tastes coming out on the back end. This light bodied brew is not bad. Would be a great hot summer kinda day brew.

On tap at St. Augustine’s, pours a crisp golden with a white ring of head. Aroma of light berries, wheat malt and citrus. Flavour is of acidic berries with not much else. Very boring and muted. Quite water, metallic and weak.

Fruity wheat beer. Not too strong, not exactly delicious. Worth trying for the unique flavor.
