KajII (800) - Macon, North Carolina, USA - MAY 2, 2011
UPDATED: MAY 3, 2011 Bottle. Poured a cloudy medium amber with a small white fizzy that had no retention at all and no lacing to speak of. The aroma hits the nose right off the bat with a strong dose of berries then light grain malts and a light sweet yeast, and not much else. It tasted very lightly sweet with hints of berries from the beginning to end with the flavor fading very rapidly after the swallow. Mouthfeel was light in body and watery in texture with a fizzy carbonation. Overall nothing special at all about this brew except the berry flavor. I felt like I was drinking flavored carbonated water!!

355ml bottle. Super light and clear good pour. Aroma is concentrated berry and wheat. Flavor is berry cereal. Derivative but OK.

UPDATED: MAR 15, 2016 12oz bottle (courtesy of Headbanger) poured into a Flute at 42°. Color is a bright gold with very active carbonation and a rocky white head. Aroma is fruity, a little like fruit punch. It has a light body with a smooth mouth feel. Flavor is mild fruit on a faint sweetness. After taste is clean and dry with the fruit leaving a cranberry tartness. Overall its a tasty little brew just nothing special.

Super berry in the nose. The chocolate/berry blend of Acai with a shock of acidity. Sharp. A hint of fruity wheat, and maybe crackers. Almost blackberry level tartness, a tiny bit of bite to it. Needs more wheat to it, more body, more malt character. Refreshing, sure, but a little too insubstantial.

355 ml bottle, from the Danish importer. ABV is 4.0%. Certified organic. Pale yellow colour, small white head. Strong aroma of over-ripe mixed berries. Light bodied. Dry flavour, with discrete notes of mixed berries, hardly any bitterness nor any other sign of hops. Not a winner by me.

Almost no aroma, weak flat appearance, watery artificial taste, weak palate. A weak, watery wheat with a hint of what seems like fake fruit.

Bottle from Whole Foods Market in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is corn, fruity kid’s cereal. Taste is thin, corn / grains, artificially fruited cereal, and a bit of irony.

Battle sampled at home from notes. Pours a light golden color with a small white head. The aroma and flavor have pale wheat malts, light berries, and not much else, thin and watery even for the style, this is a tick and I will note revisit.
