3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Could just be my love for ambers, but the nose on this organic amber is distinctly rich, offering up abundant caramel. This amber does not have huge depth, but presents well and bears the hallmarks of refreshing clean flavor to be expected of the variety.

29th May 2015: on-tap at the Seal Beach Beachwood BBQ outlet and called ’Eel River Amber’ on the board. No mention of ’organic’ or ABV. I assume this is the same beer? Like the name suggests this is an amber coloured brew, mine came with a good, large head. Nice blend of aromas and tastes, leaning towards a pale malty sweetness but with a hop bite in there too. A good start to a mini-session I had that day.

3.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Eel River Certified Organic Amber Ale is not too complex but more of a refreshing brew. Nice dark orange pour with a nice head, but aroma barely detected. Taste is slightly sweet and smooth with a nice tropical fruit note. Finish is clean but kind of a letdown with not residual complexity. Org. Amber Ale is refreshing addition to any meal and a nice session beer.

...saying you wouldn’t buy it unless it was on sale is teling too. i fully agree with that. it’s a clean, no frills basic amber ale that’s nothing offensive and nothing worth spending my hard earned coin on."

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a semi-dark red / brown color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. Some trickling lacing slides down the sides of the glass.
The smell was a grainy sweet caramel maltiness lightly hopped in a slight bittersweet sort of way.
The taste was basically the same.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was good for the style and for me with a semi - rolling sweetness over my tongue.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good beer I could down again.

It has the amber color, but not quite the Amber taste. Still, slightly better than average.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sample from a bottle left by the rep at Boulders on Broadway. Pours a clear, bright orange-amber color with a ring for a head. Notes of amber and caramel malts, mixed fruits, leaves, and sugars. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a sweet mouthfeel. Very plain amber.

Pours red-orange with a tall, heavy, vanilla head.
Aroma is sweet caramel, butter.....

Creamy with a bit of a tart tanginess in the end.
A little weak-bodied, but still pretty decent.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear amber w/ off white frothy head. Aroma is of butterscotch. Light carbonation and Nice body throughout. Flavor is strong caramel/toffee/butterscotch/vanilla. Nicely balanced hop character. Creamy like palate. Very nice organic brew!
