Tap in Maine. GLB. Nice and rich and heavy. Sweet with Belgian candy sugar and some nice fruit and spice. Complex.

Bomber. Dark reddish copper color with a decent beige head. Aromas of green leaves and spice. Full bodied with creamy carbonation. It’s a bit malty sweet, but there’s dark fruit to go with that. For me it’s a bit woody and astringent - despite the fruit sweet. Finishes not dry, but heading towards dry. There’s bitter to ward off the malt. Overall just excellent.

Bottle from liquid solutions. Pours a deep reddish brown with a small beige head that left lite lacing. Nose or sweet caramel, candied dark fruits and a touch of hops. Flavor was a little on the sweet side, pretty good overall.

22oz Bomber – 99 Bottles – Federal Way, WA
Great aroma with lots of hops and malts. The flavor was very rich and flavorful. Filled with light spices this was a terrific beer. This was a dark amber color that was clear and nice head. Great beer.

22 oz. bomber. Pours smooth, a cool clear copper color with an active head that falls away swiftly. Nice spicy, malty nose. A little sweet on the uptake, with the hops following along to cut into the soft underbelly. A totally drinkable strong winter ale.

22 oz bottle from bottletrek.com. Pours a clear mahogany with a fluffy head. Sweet matly nose. Flavor is mainly sweet caramel malts, candy, with a slight bitter finish. Definitely a hint of subtle spice. Alcohol gives a slight warming feeling. Not bad.

On tap at Baileys taproom. Dark red pour with a soft off-white head. Doughy malt sweetness up front, caramel and a soft spice to it. This beer tasted a bit under attenuated, worty and cloying, but not all that bad.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 hayduke (2531) - Eureka, California, USA - NOV 26, 2008
New from Eel River, this was from a 22 oz bottle that poured a rich dark red with a very robust off white head and good thick lacing. Very attractive pour.
Nose was of caramel malts and floral and pine hops. Mouthfeel was rich and creamy. Flavor is both bitter and spicy and the finish is bitter as well.
This was listed on the bottle as an Imperial Red but I would classify it as a winter warmer, because it was indeed just that. I have a feeling this will keep well in my beer cellar so in case this is going to be a limited offering I intend to lay in a few bottles.to entertain my beer loving friends this winter. This is excellent stuff.
