Tap at capones. Pours a deeper amber almost brown with a medium bubbly off white head. Aroma of dark fruits, candy sugar notes, various other fruity notes. Flavor of the same. Lots of flavors from the yeast, mostly fruity esters and also a heavy does of malt sweetness.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Rciesla (5499) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - DEC 22, 2009
Bottle. Pours a hazy amber brune with an off white lacing. Yeast y fruit y ester pears, some plum, and spices. A bit cherry maybe a touch medicinal but that doesn’t bother me. Obvious etoh latent fruit tones and a bit peppery. Chewy cherry skins and stick with a yeast y warming sweet and hardly hoppy. Not the hoppy holiday ale that i was expecting but it will sure serve as a happy night cap.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 bonk0076 (99) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 21, 2009
Bottle courtesy of Wavers1. Pours a cloudy, deep amber color with a nice big head that doesn’t leave any lacing. Aroma consists of fruits - raisins, plums, apricots something of that nature - as well as underlying notes of toffee and molasses. Taste begins with the sweetness of those fruit notes, but is quicly followed by the slight bitterness of roasted malt. Longer finish that is somewhat boozy.

Thanks to Hayduke for this delightful beer. The pour is reddish and cloudy with a smallish beige head. Aroma is sweet malt and rye. Pleasant. Flavor is per the aroma with some light fruit notes. This beer is pretty much straight forward and is so easy to drink. The alcohol is barely noticed. A very pleasant beer.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Headbanger (2471) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - DEC 17, 2009
22oz bottle 12/17/09 (Binny’s Willowbrook)-Pours a hazy amber with a big off white head. Aroma of fruit, yeast, malt, and caramel. Taste of banana, caramel, yeast, and nore sweetness. This medium to full bodied brew is rather tasty but still lacking a bit of depth. Hides the ABV very well. Has great potential.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 HonkeyBra (2483) - Lemont, Illinois, USA - DEC 16, 2009
Why is this called Climax noel? Is this an orgasm beer? Aroma smells a little bit like infection, some melted plastic. Odd strawberry note, maybe some banana. Flavor is kind of grainy, odd mix of strawberry banana fruit, no hop presence whatsoever. Almost like a fruit cake, or boxed wine. Or both. Lots of carbonation. Maybe your white trash xmas, right here.

22oz. Bottle (at 9%ABV per the bottle): Aroma of fruit, strawberry, sweet malts, light spices, hops, slight caramel, and a hint of alcohol. Poured deep/amber/orange/light copper in color with a medium-sized, creamy, dense, tan head that diminished but lasted throughout. Cloudy. Lightly sparkling. Flavor is medium sweet. Tastes of malts, caramel, yeast, light bubblegum, light banana, light spices, slight hops, slight fruit, light toasting, and slight toffee. Medium body. Lightly dry texture. Average carbonation. Medium sweet, malt, yeast, slight spice, and light banana finish is lightly dry. 9%ABV is quite well hidden throughout.

Bright umber color with a hue of garnet when held to the light. Taller, slowly diminishing beige head. Big malty aromas with caramel, wort, and dark rye bread. Hints of grass and light citrus. Seems a bit raw. Quite sweet. Brown sugar and Light fruit. Soft feel. Alcohol really comes out in the finish. A bit spice in the middle with nutmeg and white pepper. Long linger with more spice. A strong ale that could use a bit more depth. My stomach is really starting to burn. I still found it tasty.
