The aroma is very hoppy with citrus, grass, and pine. It also has a nice sweet malty balance. The appearance is amber with a foamy head. The taste is like the aroma. The palate is average. Overall a good beer.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 jgb9348 (3495) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - MAY 24, 2012
Crystal clear nice deep copper and a light amber coloured body with a super dense, three centimetre tall tan head - very nice looking with hints of a ruby tint. Aroma of pungent dank hop notes, a lot of citrus, some pine and a decent amount of malt. Medium to Full-bodied; Chewy malt flavour at first gives way to the herbal, resiny and citrus hops in the flavour with a lot of alcohol warmth, some sweetness and the good malt balance that isn’t overpowering, but definitely shows its ~8%abv. Aftertaste is very well rounded for the style, relying on the hops quite a bit, but not without anything else - the malt is nice and the sugars go well. Overall, a fairly well executed Imperial IPA with a good note of resiny hops at the finish more than anything else - decent for the size, but borders on the edge of being a BIG drink. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Super Jr Market (BestDamnBeer Shop) in San Diego, California on 06-May-2012 for US$6.99 sampled at home in Washington on 24-May-2012.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 glennmastrange (1638) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - MAY 23, 2012
Bottle. Moderate bread and roasted for the malt, perfume and pine for the hops with hints of pepper and dried fruit. Head is average to large, frothy to creamy turning rocky, very light beige with excellent heavy lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is clear medium orange/red. Flavor starts lightly sweet and moderately acidic, then finishes lightly acidic and moderately bitter. palate is medium, close to being creamy with a carbonation between soft and lively and a dry finish. Not too complex for a DIPA, like most organic beers, but it is flavorful with a nice bitter bite at the end.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 VRBJG (109) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - MAY 7, 2012
Pours a hazy gold with a small white head. Not a lot on the nose. Tastes build....somewhat carmel. Not much on the palate. It is a decent brew, but nothing really stands out on this one.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 CampesinoTino (497) - Seattle, Washington, USA - APR 22, 2012
Bomber. Orange ruby colored with a dense layer of beige foam. Aroma is a blend of hops oil, grapefruit peel, tangerine and caramel. The flavor has lots of citrus rind and bitter hops resin upfront as well as some ruby red grapefruit, orange and lemon notes. Also a very mild toasted malt flavor in the background. The finish brings more vegetal bitterness and tart citrus with a little bit of booze. The overall flavor could use a little more of a malt presence to balance out the aggressive hops flavors.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 bytemesis (154) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - APR 20, 2012
This is a good, not great, double IPA. Pours clean and amber, with minimal head. Aroma is pleasant, with florals and some piney notes. Taste has some hops kick, but not as strong as most doubles out there. The beer is fairly well balanced, with strong hops sweetness throughout, but it just doesnt do it for me.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 PorterPounder (4111) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - APR 9, 2012
Orlando, Fl - Whole Foods - 22 oz bomber. Pours a sparkling medium copper with a soft white head that leaves a bit of lacing. Aroma is faint but pleasant - some faint piney notes, a bit of a floral bent. Enjoyable flavor with some bitter citrus notes, a hint of nectarines and a faint trace of chocolate to provide a malty balance. Mouthfeel is decently thick. 8.2% ABV is hidden extremely well. Decent.
