Bottle. Amber beer with a cream head. Light grapefruit aroma. Tropical fruit and grapefruit flavor. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Tropical fruit and grapefruit linger with light pine.

A decent beer from eel River...likely the best Iíve had. Citrus and pine aroma and flavor, nicely balanced with a bitter finish.

1st June 2015: Bomber in the sun, directly after a bomber of Oakshire Watershed IPA (also at 6.7%ABV but with 70 ibu)., I thought the Oakshire beer had more to it. Anyway this amber brew had a full and deep beige foam blanket on each of itís three pours into a Corsendonk badged tulip. Crisp, sharp and almost harsh in itís hoppy bitterness, mild citrus feel to the whole thing. Would have scored better if I had drank this bottle before the other one.

This is one of the best beers that I've had in a while. Nice hoppy bitter taste but extremely well balanced. Even with a relatively high alcohol content, it doesn't have that fruity flavor that sometimes turns me off with IPAs. Excellent.

BOTTLE. Poured golden copper with big bubbly white head, big carbonation. Musky sweetness with bitter hops on the nose. Bitter hops upfront, middle is sticky malts with a peppery hoppy backend... Sticky mouth feel lingers. Sourced Cape Cellars

Pours hazy gold. Head dissipates almost immediately in both nonic pint and cervoise glasses. Aroma of caramel malts, tropical fruits and citrus notes. Taste is same with dry bitter floral finish. Mouthfeel is disappointingly light, however highly drinkable. Decent poolside beer.

Draught at Cafe 21. Slightly hazy gold, and massive frothy white cap. Aroma of juicy fruits, citrus, caramel, white pepper. Taste is balanced sweet bitterness, but gentle on both fronts. Palate is crisp, slightly sticky, soft dry finish.

Bottle. Golden-orange, firm pillowtop. This drinks with an assertive front end, cloying and rich with earthy tones. The finish is distinctively acidic and citric. Good schtuff. (#5944, 3/20/2015)
