| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 2, 2009 Bottle. Pours ruby brown with a tan head. The aroma is lightly roasty with some fruity and caramel sweetness. The flavor starts on a sweet note of caramel, fruit and molasses, and finished with a light roasted coffee note. Pretty weak if you judge it strictly as an imperial stout, but if you ignore that, it’s really a pretty good beer. badlizard (2343), Berkeley, California, USA

Dark smoky bitter chocolate and coffee in the nose. Dark mahogany pour with ruby red edges and a solid khaki head that never fully leaves. Full flavored molasses, roasted malt, and espresso. Wish I could get more of this!!! Ibrew2or3 (2724), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 28, 2009 Pours dark brown with copper hues and weak brief off white head. The aroma is full with sweet chocolate, molasses, dark roasted malts and licorice. The taste is much the same with a mild dose of chocolate malts mixing with molasses, licorice and roasty toasty malts. Nice sweet and rich brew yet on the thin side. trokini (1027), San Diego, California, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jan 28, 2009 Infinitely dissatisfied with this one. Poured clear black with red edges. I say clear because you could see through it to some degree. Minimal lacing, short, bubbly tan head. Flat, musty caramel and malt aroma, some coffee, and thin cocoa powder. Taste was watery and weak. Some coffee and chocolate materialized as the beer got very warm, but before that, this was a grainy, soupy, earthy malt beverage. A bit astringent at the end. Imperial Stout? I think not. biggmike (480), Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 26, 2009 Pours an extreme dark brown color that appears almost black with decent tan head that stayed for a while. The aroma is fruit, roasted malt, and chocolate. The flavor is basically the same. I found the body to be a bit thin for the style. Carbonation seemed about right. This is a nice Imperial Stout that could be improved a bit of tweaking.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 23, 2009 Updated: Jan 29, 2009#200 for this beer,22oz bottle. Not a completley dark pour, more of a dark crimson, had a beige head. Dark, roasty malts, some dark fruits as well. Slightly roasty, smooth and very drinkable, not what I would expect from an Imperial stout, but good.
